The MUDC socials are a great way to get to know people in the club, committee members and not feeling like you have to quickly rush off to that lecture. The night consists of over an hour of beginner tailored classes in the style chosen for the night. Finger food is available and included in the cost of the night. There is always plenty of time to chat or have a social dance after or in between.
For those taking classes the socials can still be quite beneficial. It gives you a chance to get more familiar with some of the moves you learn in class. Some teachers also show moves and techniques that they don't normally show in class.
You are encouraged to bring friends, even those not studying or at other institutions.
For 2009 Social prices are $7 per person. (There is no price difference between members and non-members so feel free to bring friends along.)
The evenings go from 6:30 to 9:30pm, and are typically (but not always) on a Friday night.
